Terms of use
Last updated 28 October 2026
In short: Troteo organises your travel plans, but your booking confirmations and the airline, hotel or operator are always the final word. Check times there before you travel.
About these terms
These terms apply to the Troteo app and troteo.app, run from Malta by a self-employed sole trader trading as Troteo ("we"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Troteo.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 to use Troteo.
- Sign in with an email address you control. You're responsible for what happens in your account, so keep access to that email secure.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Account Settings → Delete account).
Forwarding bookings
- Only forward emails you're entitled to share, such as your own bookings or ones made for you.
- Troteo reads bookings automatically, using AI. It's usually right but can misread or miss details. Always check important information (times, terminals, dates, booking references) against the original confirmation or with the provider.
- Troteo is not a travel agent. We don't sell, change or cancel bookings, and we aren't responsible for the services your bookings are for.
Weather and alerts
Forecasts come from third-party weather services and can be wrong, especially more than a few days ahead. Weather alerts and suggestions are for convenience only. They aren't safety warnings, so follow local authorities and your operators for travel disruptions.
Sharing
When you share a trip or an entry, you choose who sees it. Only share with people you're happy to see those details, and only enter other people's email addresses when they'd expect to hear from you. Don't use sharing to send unwanted email.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Troteo: no attempts to access other people's data, overload or break the service, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.
The service
Troteo is free to use for now. We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we provide it "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features; if we ever stop the service entirely, we'll give you notice so you can save what you need.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by relying on information in Troteo without checking it, such as a missed flight. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email. These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, without affecting the consumer protections of the country you live in. Questions: hello@troteo.app.
